Reports of missing and endangered children can be
difficult and emotionally charged cases to investigate. When a child is
reported missing, law enforcement officers work under extreme pressure

Statistics show that the first 3 hours following a child’s disappearance

A 22-year-old Akron man accused of kidnapping his 1-year-old daughter
and her teenage mother from their foster home in Southwest Ohio. He was
arrested in Akron on a Monday afternoon, according to a Northern Ohio
Violent Fugitive Task-force news release. The 1-year-old Sara Herrera
and 17-year-old Maoly Toscana Herrera were found safe thanks to the
amber alert reported following the child’s disappearance.
